Larry Flynt, the controversial founder of Hustler magazine, has passed away at the age of 78. His younger brother, Jimmy, confirmed his passing in a piece for The Washington Post.

There was no specific cause of death stated in the piece, but Larry passed away at his home in Los Angeles on Wednesday, February 10.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Berrios, and four children. Larry was a notable figure in the porn industry for nearly 50 years and launched Hustler magazine in 1974, which later expanded into television and called his three channels, Hustler TV.
