Britain's motorists have been banned from asking for hundreds of new options after the launch of the new "70" number plates.
Generally, for the right price, it's possible to request a specific licence number for your vehicle. In fact, the agency makes up to £160million a year from personalised registrations plate sale.
But while the DVLA will seek to accommodate requests, staff at the government agency have to remain vigilant, because not all are as innocent as they might seem, Wales Online reports.
Some appear to make reference to swear words, rude phrases, or terms likely to cause offence. So the DVLA hosts specialised meetings twice a year specifically to identify potentially offensive plates.
