Dayot Upamecano will join Bayern Munich in July after the Bundesliga giants confirmed earlier this month that they had agreed terms with the defender.
The 22-year-old's £38m release clause is due to become active at the end of the season and he was a target for a number or Premier League sides, including Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea.
However, the France international has been courted by both Bayern and United since he was a 16-year-old prospect at Valenciennes.
In 2015, United attempted to lure him to Old Trafford in a deal which would have been worth £1.9m. Upamecano's advisor, Thierry Martinez, explained in an interview with So Foot why the deal fell through, saying: "An intermediary met with us, but there was a difference
