Join thousands of others who have signed up for the Daily Record newsletter.Patients in hospitals across NHS Lanarkshire will again be able to receive visits from a loved one.Hospital visiting is now being re-instated in a staged approach.This comes after hospitals across Scotland had to take the exceptional step of stopping all but essential visitors coming into hospitals.Susan Friel, nurse director for Acute Services at NHS Lanarkshire, said: “Stopping hospital visiting was absolutely necessary so that we could best protect our vulnerable patients and our staff during this unprecedented time.“However I am delighted to say, that from today (Monday, July 13) we will be re-instating a level of visiting for the majority of our patients.
