A massive fire inside the Hong Kong World Trade Centre has left more than 100 people trapped on the roof. Firefighters are battling to extinguish the blaze which started inside the building on Gloucester Road in the city’s popular Causeway Bay shopping district.
The fire broke out at 12.37pm local time (04:37 GMT). The skyscraper, which is home to a shopping centre and commercial offices is 38-stories high.
Reports from local media suggest several people have been hurt in the fire and taken to hospital. Firefighters used an extendable ladder to rescue several people who were trapped on the lower floors of the building, according to Mirror Online.
