Alma Har'el, the director of Shia LaBeouf's semiautobiographical 2019 film, Honey Boy, came out in support of FKA Twigs after the singer filed a lawsuit against the actor last week for sexual battery, assault, and infliction of emotional distress, according to The New York Times."I have a deep respect for FKA Twigs' courage and resilience," Har'el said in a statement, as reported by Variety. "Reading what she endured left me heartbroken and I stand with her in solidarity."Before Twigs went public with her allegations, Har'el had defended LaBeouf, who has a history of substance abuse and a questionable reputation in the industry, championing his recovery, Variety noted.
