He is currently the co-presenter of This Morning (2002–present) and Dancing on Ice (2006–2014, 2018–present) alongside Holly Willoughby. His other work for ITV includes All Star Mr & Mrs (2008–2016), The Cube (2009–2015), and 5 Gold Rings (2017–present). Schofield gained national attention working for the BBC, first as a continuity presenter for Children's BBC on weekdays from 1985 to 1987, then as a presenter on the children's Saturday morning magazine show Going Live! between September 1987 and April 1993.

Holly Willoughby cringes as Russell Crowe ribs her over opening segment on This Morning

Holly Willoughby was left cringing today after Hollywood actor Russell Crowe ribbed her over their opening segment on This Morning.

As they waited for the A-Lister, Holly and co-star Phillip Schofield showed cute pictures of viewers' puppies through 'Puppy Cam'.

Explaining to viewers why they were doing the segment, Phil said that they were "waiting for Russell Crowe". "I hope Russell Crowe doesn't see this!" Holly quipped.

Unfortunately for her, he did listen to the segment and couldn't help rib the presenters about it. The actor had been appearing on the ITV daytime show to promote his new film Unhinged and when asked by Holly about the release of the blockbuster, Russell instead changed the subject.
