Brits should not to travel to amber list countries for a holiday as foreign trips open up once again, Matt Hancock has warned.
The Health Secretary was speaking ahead of England entering its next step of the roadmap out of lockdown. From today a raft of lockdown restrictions have been lifted, including the ban on non-essential foreign travel.
As part of the re-opening of the border to international tourists a new traffic light system has been implemented, putting counties into red, amber or green, depending on their Covid risk.
Just 12 countries have been placed into the green category and most nations across Europe are amber, meaning a period of isolation and more testing is needed to travel.
