The film follows a villainous comedic trio of witches which also includes Winifred Sanderson (Bette Midler) and Kathy Najimy as Mary Sanderson.
In one scene, a bus pulls up and the witches enquire what it is, before the driver says it is to "convey gorgeous creatures such as yourselves to your most forbidden desires." Bette's character tells him they desire children, as Sarah smiles sweetly at him.
