Bosses at HMS Unicorn are assessing storm damage after the weekend’s weather battering. Dundee’s historic landmark lost most of its newly laid felt roof thanks to Storm Arwen.
Windows and a skylight were also smashed in the near 100mph winds that buffeted Tayside. Writing on the HMS Unicorn Facebook page, managers said they were trying to make the ship weathertight again.The message said: “Our newly laid roof felting has been ripped off and a window and a skylight smashed.“We are working hard to get the ship weatherproof again and are talking to our insurers.”In August, efforts to preserve the iconic ship were boosted by a cash injection of £30,000.The city council grant has supported work taking place on the near-200-year-old vessel and
