iOS - Android The charity is experiencing an increased demand for a variety of roles in the Scottish courts and in local communities, to provide support to victims and witnesses.Morven Porter told Lanarkshire Live: “When I was in my third year of university, I was looking for a volunteering role that would give me experience to support my Master’s degree and came across Victim Support Scotland (VSS) online.“While as a result of my studies, I was prepared for some of the difficult situations I face at VSS and for some of the court scenarios, I think I’ve become better at listening to others while maintaining the emotional distance from a crime you need to be able to give victims and witnesses the real support they need.
