Halle Berry has asked her social media followers to consider backing a crowdfunding campaign to support an elderly “immigrant business owner” who lost his livelihood in Los Angeles’ weekend protests.
Ned Harounian’s son set up a GoFundMe profile for his 81-year-old father, explaining how he had already been suffering from the death of his wife when rioters, using the Black Lives Matter movement to run rampage across the city, targeted his shop and burned it to the ground.
Highlighting the sad story on Twitter, the Oscar winner wrote, “An immigrant business owner in his 80s had his Melrose store looted then burned, and his recently deceased wife’s jewelry stolen. “Things are crazy right now, but I hope we can all take a minute to help this.
