Manchester Magistrates Court heard. However, it was said that Egan, from Burnage, had targeted The Christie before, in December last year, when two laptops were stolen.
Speaking to the court, he said he had been subject to harassment after his last appearance in court was published in the Manchester Evening News .
But, Manchester JPs told him ‘it doesn’t get much worse than stealing from a hospital’ before handing him a suspended sentence.As Egan was in breach of a community order, he was recalled into prison and will be a serving prisoner until October 8.He pleaded guilty to theft by walk-in.Outlining the facts of the case, prosecutor Robin Lynch said Egan attended The Christie hospital located on Wilmslow Road on September 13 this year.
