Police have fined a dozen people after finding them hiding in the back room of a restaurant playing dominoes. Body-worn camera footage shows police speaking to the owner of the restaurant in Tower Hamlets, east London, after discovering the breach of Tier 4 rules.
The owner told police it was only workers in the building. But after they entered the premises they saw a group of people emerging from a back room.
The owner sends them back into the darkened room and tells them to come out one by one. He can also be heard in the clip telling police: "A lot of these youngsters, they don't have a mask on and they're playing dominoes." Under the current lockdown rules restaurants in Tier 4 are allowed to stay open for delivery and takeaways only
