direct to your inboxA health food store in Manchester has been shut down after customers and staff were found showing ‘flagrant disregard’ for coronavirus laws.Police and council officers found up to 20 people eating food and browsing shelves while music played inside the ARMR shop in Ardwick on January 14.No-one inside the shop were wearing masks or following social distancing measures during the enforcement visit made after a tip-off from a member of the public.When challenged about their behaviour, those present - including the store manager - were ‘unco-operative’ and made dismissive comments such as ‘I trust my immune system.’Manchester council has since issued a closure notice against the shop on Polygon Street under coronavirus.
