Grieving sisters kicked out of council house weeks after mum died of Covid

A pair of sisters may be forced to leave their childhood home and face being made homeless following their mum's tragic death.

Natasha and Sam Dearn have described the impact on their mental health since losing their mum in November and receiving a letter from the council about leaving their home.

The pair informed Canterbury City Council in Kent,two days after their mum died of coronavirus, only to be told they would need to leave the property in Lucerne Drive in Seasalter, near Whitstable.

Natasha, 38, a front line care worker during the pandemic, said the situation has prevented her and 40-year-old Sam, a manager and hairdresser, from being able to grieve properly.
