There is more bad news for holidaymakers who are still holding out hope for a getaway sometime soon. Greece is set to ban British travellers when it reopens to tourists in a matter of weeks.
The Greek government has cited the country's poor coronavirus record as a reason as it selects the 29 countries where it will accept tourists from when international flights resume on June 15.
Greek tourism minister Haris Theoharis told ITV News that the UK's record on coronavirus is currently not good enough for those living in the country to make their way over to Greece.
