Grant Jackson was an MLB pitcher who helped the Pittsburgh Pirates win the 1979 World Series.Jackson began his career with the Philadelphia Phillies in 1965.
In 1969, while he was with the Phillies, he was an All-Star. He spent several seasons with the Phillies as well as the Baltimore Orioles and New York Yankees, pitching in the 1971 and 1976 World Series, before being traded to the Pirates in 1977.
He was a driving force behind the Pirates’ World Series victory in 1979, pitching in Game 7. Later in his 18-season career, Jackson played for the Montreal Expos and Kansas City Royals.
