Grandad trapped in coronavirus isolation gets heartwarming letter from girl, 5

An OAP forced to self-isolate during the coronavirus pandemic received a heartwarming letter from a young neighbour. The grandad, 93, had to follow the government’s advice for over-70s and stay in isolation for 12 weeks – prompting five-year-old Kirah to remind him he was not alone.

Her letter read: "Hello my name is Kirah and I am five years old. "I have to stay at home because of the coronavirus. I just want to check if you're OK? "I have drawn you a rainbow to remind you that you are not alone.
