The family of an Irvine man who beat coronavirus after 41 days in intensive care have praised the NHS heroes who saved his life against the odds.Gordon Fulton, who lives with the blood cancer, chronic lymphocytic leukaemia, was given a 20 per cent chance of survival after he was struck down with the killer virus in March.The 62-year-old grandfather of five spent almost a month on a ventilator as medics battled to keep him alive.His distraught wife Audrey and daughters Lorna, Julie and Ainsley were told to prepare for the worst.Lorna, 40, who lives in London, even began making plans to travel back home fearing he wouldn’t make it.But in a miraculous turnaround, Mr Fulton, who beat bowel cancer two years ago, left the ICU unit at Crosshouse
