BBC viewers have been left heartbroken after a Grand Party Hotel guest died following a stunning wedding ceremony. At the end of the emotional episode ahead of the credits, a tribute appeared on screen dedicated to one of the hotel’s guests who tragically died just a few short weeks after it was filmed.

The BBC series, which follows the trials and tribulations of Liverpool’s Shankly Hotel, paid tribute to couple Mark and Kaylea who tied the knot in the moving installment.

The lovebirds, who had been together for 14 years, made the decision to push their wedding forward after beautiful Kaylea was diagnosed with terminal cancer.
