Liam James Payne (born 29 August 1993) is an English singer and songwriter.
He rose to fame as a member of the boy band One Direction.
Payne made his debut as a singer when he auditioned for the British television series The X Factor in 2008. After being eliminated as a solo performer, he auditioned again in 2010 and was put into a group with four other contestants to form One Direction

Liam, 26, has been uploading YouTube videos documenting his time at home - and attempted Gordon-inspired scrambled eggs in his latest vlog.
In the 15-minute video, Liam explains: "When I actually spoke to Gordon Ramsay he said there's a test they do for chefs where he just gets them to make scrambled eggs because you can tell a lot about a person by the way they make their eggs. "So let's put ourselves through this Gordon Ramsay trial." It then cuts to the singer cooking in his luxurious kitchen, where he even does his best Gordon impression as he imitates the TV chef's famous hand.
