Google is pushing back the date when its workers will return to offices to September 2021 and is also planning to test out a flexible work schedule with an eye toward possibly making it a permanent setup.The news was conveyed to employees by CEO Sundar Pichai in an email Sunday night, the contents of which were reported by multiple media outlets.
Previously, the company had targeted June for the return date, though it had postponed it once before.With Covid-19 vaccines starting to roll out, employers are looking ahead to a period of transition in 2021, when work from home will become increasingly less of a requirement.
