Glasgow B&Q store shut after worker tests positive for coronavirus

Glasgow B&Q has tested positive for Covid-19. The Darnley DIY store was closed yesterday for a deep clean after the worker was struck down with the virus.

Bosses said the decision to do this was a precautionary measure which goes above government advice. A B&Q spokesperson said: "We can confirm that our Darnley store was temporarily closed yesterday following a team member, who has recently been on shift, receiving a positive ( Covid 19) test result. "Closing the store for deep cleaning is a precautionary measure and goes beyond government advice."Glasgow is one of the Scottish regions currently in local lockdown.

Residents are unable to meet up with any other households either in their own home, or inside someone else's home after a spike.
