Gareth Bale.Bale is on the hunt for a new club after it was confirmed earlier this month that he was leaving Getafe's neighbours, Real Madrid.
The Welsh wizard had spent nine years at the Bernabeu following his mega-bucks transfer from Tottenham back in 2013.Getafe president Angel Torres claimed earlier this week that he'd received an approach from Bale's representatives, claiming, via the Daily Mail: “I spoke with the player's agent this morning.
He has been offered to us. We will consider it. I am going to have to speak to the technical staff.”And the Spanish club had a little fun with the transfer rumour on their social media account on Wednesday evening.
They poked fun at Bale's famous 'Wales, Golf, Madrid' flag by tweeting: "Getafe Getafe Getafe - in that order," teasing that Getafe would be the 32-year-old's main priority going forward.Unfortunately, the hype that the social media post created was short-lived after Bale's representative, Jonathan Barnett, moved to quash any talk of a move to Getafe.Despite reports that Bale is keen to stay in Madrid, and that Getafe is just 20 minutes from the winger's Madrid pad, Barnett insisted that a move to the Spanish minnows isn't on the cards.
