A gang embarked on a targeted rampage of shops across South Manchester, stealing cigarettes, alcohol and 21 Sky boxes. Mark Phillips, 44, and two others who have not been identified, set out in the stolen Ford transit van in the early hours of the morning.
They first attacked a convenience store in Cheadle Heath, breaking through the metal shutters and smashing a window before looting booze and cigarettes.
