But just a few months into their trip, Laundrie returned home without Gabby and she was eventually reported missing by her mother.
On September 19 Gabby's body was found at a campground near Grand Teton National Park in northwestern Wyoming. A coroner determined she'd died from "blunt-force injuries to the head and neck, with manual strangulation".After she was reported as missing, Gabby's fiancé Brian also went missing.
His disappearance and her brutal murder sparked a massive manhunt and Gabby's parents also hit out at his family for failing to help the investigation into their daughters killing.
