Argos was sent through to the fuming mum when the store said they were "out of stock" of the other half of one colour.Sara Hudgell ordered the corner sofa from the retail giant on Monday, January 24, and was initially excited when the sofa showed up five days later. Her excitement was short-lived, as her 29-year-old husband, electrician Greg Hudgell, tore off the wrapping and found the sofa was in two different colours. The half charcoal, half beige nightmare was assumed to be a mix-up by Sara, who called the delivery driver in the hopes of getting the right colour couch dropped off.But the delivery driver said it wasn't a mistake and that she'd have to take it up with Argos, leaving her gobsmacked.Sara claims that Argos told her she could keep the wrong-coloured couch, return it or pay the difference to upgrade to another model. The mental health support worker says she was offered an "insulting" £30 "compensation" and has branded the whole situation "a complete shambles".The mum-of-one is scared of marking the sofa before it is collected, and so is "stuck upstairs" and forced to care for her three-week-old Arthur Hudgell on her bed.Argos has said that Sara's experience did "not meet their usual high standards" and said they have provided a full refund for the sofa and arranged for it to be collected.Sara, from Swansea, said: "I'm still stuck upstairs because of this, I'm so angry.

You couldn't make it up, it's just a complete shambles."The last sofa we had was just a small one we got off Facebook Marketplace to tide us over."She continued: "As we don't have the space for two sofas in our living room we had already got rid of the other sofa and I'd spent the last couple of days sitting on the bed upstairs."Greg unwrapped.
