Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has sanctioned a move for Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey – and is willing to pay £85m. The Blues are already looking ahead to the new season, with no new business in the last three transfer windows.
They already have Hakim Ziyech arriving from Ajax next summer but the boss wants more gal-scoring options at his disposal. And the Express reports that Lampard is desperate to secure Bailey’s signature, preparing to submit at £85m bid.
The Jamaican international has been causing a stir in the Bundesliga with his performances. Into his fourth season with Leverkusen, the 22-year-old has 24 goals in 105 appearances for the German side.
