Manuel Pellegrini has explained the tactics behind Manchester City's win against Manchester United in September 2013. The game was the first Manchester derby for Pellegrini and new United manager David Moyes who replaced Sir Alex Ferguson in the summer.
City ran out comfortable winners after going ahead through first-half goals from Sergio Aguero and Yaya Toure. Aguero netted again shortly after the interval before Samir Nasri added insult to injury and ensured Wayne Rooney's late strike was nothing more than a consolation.
