A former army cadet leader started a relationship with a woman as a ruse to gain access to her son and abuse him. Raymond Waller, 69, committed offences between 1981 and 1991 against boys aged 13 to 16 years old.
When he was contacted by police, he initially pretended not to know some of his victims. Four teenagers individually fell victim to Waller during his time as an Army Cadet leader in Barnet, London.
In one case he even struck up a relationship with a child’s mother to get access to her son, My London reports. The offences were reported to the Met Police between 2017 and early 2018, allowing officers to put together a timeline of Waller’s abuse.
