When Lil Nas X released the music video for “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” on Friday (March 26), some fans felt that the clip strongly resembled FKA twigs’ “Cellophane,” particularly the pole dance scenes.

And now, the “Cellophane” director Andrew Thomas Huang is speaking out. The visual artist and film director addressed the conversations on social media in a statement on Sunday (March 28). “I’m a fan of @LilNasX. ‘Old Town Road’ is iconic.
