Five people have been arrested during a protest in central London over the death of George Floyd in the US. Met Police say two were held for assaulting officers and three were arrested for breaching coronavirus measures.
All of those arrested are aged between 17 and 25. Hundreds of protesters have today gathered in London to demonstrate over the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis.
Mr Floyd died after a police officer pressed his knee into his neck for eight minutes despite saying 'I can't breathe'. Demonstrators holding placards reading "Racism has no place", "Justice for George Floyd" and "Black Lives Matter" met at Trafalgar Square this afternoon and marched on the US Embassy.
