A number of videos have circulated across social media of protesters clashing with police outside Downing Street. Footage from two journalists at the scene in London have shared clips of the large crowd, which shows various objects being thrown in the direction of police.
One protester is seen being wrestled to the ground and restrained by officers. Freelance journalist Mattha Busby first reported that police were being continually asked to take a knee in memory of George Floyd, with "some doing so to great applause".
However his next clip on Twitter said there had been "tense conversations", and later, "it's kicking off now. Unclear exactly what started things.
