manchestereveningnews.co.ukThis is the teacher beheaded in Paris on Friday - reportedly after a row with Muslim parents over his decision to show children cartoons of the Prophet Mohammad.The victim has been identified as 47-year-old Samuel Paty who taught history and geography at the school in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, north-west of the French capital.He was attacked as he left on Friday evening by an 18-year-old man.The teenager beheaded Mr Paty with a meat cleaver while shouting 'Allahu Akbar', witnesses said.According to reports, he took a picture of the victim's body and posted it on social media with a message for French President Emmanuel Macron.The killer was shot dead by police as he tried to flee.The shocking murder is being treated as an act of Islamist.
