A woman murdered at a home in Manchester was "a brilliant mother" who was "loved dearly by all", her family has said. Hyacinth Morris, 67, was pronounced dead at an address in Westminster Street, Levenshulme, at about 8.30pm on Thursday.
A 40-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of murder has been detained under the Mental Health Act, Greater Manchester Police said on Monday.
In a tribute issued through police, Ms Morris's family said: "Hyacinth, you were a great daughter to your father. "A beautiful sister, a wonderful sister-in-law, aunty, great aunty and a dear cousin to all. "You were loved dearly by all and touched our lives in a positive way. "Most of all you were a brilliant mother who was adored by your son.
