Steven George Gerrard MBE (born 30 May 1980) is an English professional football manager and former player who manages Scottish Premiership club Rangers.
He spent the majority of his playing career as a central midfielder for Liverpool, with most of that time spent as club captain, as well as captaining the England national team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time,
Gerrard was awarded the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year award in 2005, and the Ballon d'Or Bronze Award. In 2009, Zinedine Zidane and Pelé said that they considered Gerrard to be the best footballer in the world.
Fernando Torres has shared a dressing room with some of the biggest names in world football over the years - but which former team-mates make it into his ultimate starting XI?
After bursting onto the scene at Atletico Madrid, the Spaniard joined Liverpool in 2007, where he would produce a career-best return of 81 goals in 142 games before completing a shock £50m move to Chelsea.
It's fair to say his time at Stamford Bridge didn't go exactly to plan, however, with just 45 goals in 172 appearances to show for his then-club-record switch.
Following a brief stint on loan at AC Milan, Torres subsequently returned to Atletico in 2014, where he would stay for another four years before moving to current side Sagan Tosu of the Chinese Super League.
