Family of brave Scots tumour-scan boy facing five months of agony

As Kearyn’s tumour is on his optic pathway and attached to nerves, it cannot be operated on.Although it is non-cancerous at the moment, it could turn malignant at any time and doctors have warned Kearyn’s parents Jodi, 34, and Kenneth, 35, that if his next MRI shows it has progressed further, he will need immediate chemo.

The brave youngster – who lives in Dalkeith, Midlothian, with his mum, dad and older brother Khaidyn, 10 – also suffers from the genetic condition Noonan syndrome and Moyamoya disease, a progressive.
