Liverpool star Fabinho’s wife Rebeca Tavares gave a praising verdict of her husband’s performance in defence. The Brazilian midfielder was drafted into Jurgen Klopp’s back line, with both Joe Gomez and Joel Matip unavailable due to injuries.
But the 26-year-old thrived in the role, denying Chelsea forward Timo Werner several times in the Premier League champions’ 2-0 win over the Blues.
While Sadio Mane grabbed both goals, Tavares – who has been married to Fabinho for five years –suggested her husband should have come away with more from the game.
Writing on Twitter, the Liverpool WAG said: “Fabinho #MOTM.” This was soon shared on Reddit, where the Anfield faithful were in full agreement with the Brazilian.
