Rivals Manchester City face an away trip to Swindon Town, Chelsea start against Chesterfield, while 14-time winners Arsenal have been handed a trip to Nottingham Forest.
Liverpool will play Shrewsbury Town, with Tottenham against Morecambe. Current holders Leicester City begin the defence of their trophy at home to Watford in one of several all-top-flight clashes.
