The Football Association has declared the non-league season for steps 3 and below null and void. It means all results this season will be expunged, meaning there will be no promotion or relegation.
The board of the National League (steps 1 & 2), are currently meeting with FA bosses to decide what to do with their own campaign - and could well follow suit.
Meanwhile, it is understood the EFL have now been told a return date for football of April 30 is now unrealistic and will be put back, with a new date set to be announced in the next 72 hours.
All football has been suspended indefinitely due to the coronavirus crisis, but the decision to scrap on-going campaigns below National League level is unprecedented.
