Those in the know at Liverpool's academy have particularly high hopes for 16-year-old James Balagizi, a midfielder who has excelled at under-18 level this season, according to The Athletic‘s Simon Hughes.
The starlet is only a few months younger than Harvey Elliott, who joined Liverpool from Fulham last July and went on to become the youngest-ever player to start a match for the club.
The Reds’ academy has been churning out some incredibly talented players since the appointment of Alex Inglethorpe as figurehead in 2014, and Balagizi looks next in line.
