Tech experts have urged iPhone users who have Visa cards stored in their phones to delete all details, as a glitch means fraudsters could make illegal transactions using the ApplePay function.
iPhones have an Express Transit mode, which allows its users to tap in and out of transport services using contactless payments without having to confirm their identities using Face ID, and this could be exploited by ruthless scammers.
Researchers from the University of Surrey and the University of Birmingham have urged anyone with Visa card details in their Wallet app or on Apple Pay to remove them as soon as possible.
Due to the ease of the Express Transit function, it could mean unlimited contactless payments payments could be made by criminals.
