Estate agents are planning to implement a £30 charge for anyone wanting to view a property in a bid to stop people booking a slot and not showing up.

Prospective buyers and tenants using new website ViewRabbit will receive a link to pay the fee in order to guarantee the viewing.

The charge is currently £30, but a higher charge may be introduced for highly sought-after or more expensive properties, The Times reports.

ViewRabbit founder Michael Riley came up with the idea after seeing estate agents become frustrated with the large number of no-shows for booked viewings. What do you think about the £30 charge?
