direct to your inboxResidents in a village on the border of Trafford have been offered emergency accommodation if they want to leave their homes due to the risk of flooding.The offer has been made to people in 13 properties in Little Bollington due to the threat of torrential rainfall, Trafford council's leader said.The village sits on the border between Cheshire and Trafford.Sale Leisure Centre is being prepared as an emergency centre if needed.In a statement, councillor Andrew Western said: "At present we are NOT asking anyone to leave their homes in this area; however this offer has been made to residents in 13 properties in the Little Bollington area as a precaution."Mr Western said there is potential for flooding in the Middle Mersey.
