manchestereveningnews.co.ukdirect to your inboxThe much-loved country pub The Swan with Two Nicks is dealing with severe flooding in the wake of Storm Christoph.The pub, near Dunham Massey and featured in Cold Feet, has 'lost the battle' to keep the water under control, according to its manager.Flood water is now just a foot away from the ceiling of the pub's cellars, damaging a huge amount of stock and equipment.Ann Amphlett has run the Little Bollington venue for around 15 years, and while minor flooding is common in the cellar, this is only the second time she's seen it so severe.The last time they dealt with flooding this extreme was in the summer of 2019.The public rooms have escaped damage, though the road and surrounding fields are now 'like a lake'.She says.
