Eight people fined for flouting lockdown as fight breaks out at birthday party

mirror.co.ukPolice were coughed and spat at as they broke up a fight outside a birthday party in Bolton. Officer were called just before 8pm last night to reports that a large group of people were fighting outside to Tonge Moor in Greater Manchester.
Police discovered that a birthday party was taking place with approximately 40 people - both adults and children - in attendance.
As officers encouraged the group to disperse some guests became hostile and and some deliberately coughed and spat at officers.
Seven people – aged between 23 and 48 – were arrested on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly and for breach of Covid-19 regulations.
