EastEnders' Freddie star Bobby Brazier says late mum Jade Goody would be 'proud'

EastEnders actor Bobby Brazier says his late mum, Jade Goody, would be beyond proud of him for landing his first acting role.While Bobby may have grown up in the spotlight, the 19-year-old has been the face of Dolce & Gabbana but is now cracking the acting world.

This year, the son of Jade and presenter Jeff Brazier signed his first role-playing Freddie Slater on BBC One's EastEnders – the son of Little Mo and Billy Mitchell. But the curly-haired star said his dad Jeff hadn't offered him any advice about the industry, saying: "No, he's happy that I'm working consistently and paying rent."While it may be Bobby's first acting position, he explained that despite being "thrown in at the deep end", he's been welcomed onto the Square."I'd like to say I'm swimming, there were nerves but everyone made me so comfortable straight away, literally from the first scene," he said.Bobby's character, Freddie last appeared on the BBC soap 15 years ago and was played by actors Alex Kilby and Tom Kilby.

Freddie and his mum Mo left Albert Square to start a new life away from the hustle and bustle of Walford after it emerged that he was conceived when his mum was raped by Graham Foster.Viewers of the BBC soap seemed to be overjoyed by Bobby's arrival with many praising him while others.
