When The Knife split up in 2014, it was immediately clear that few acts were capable of matching the revolutionary electronic pop music made by Karin and Olof Dreijer. Karin stepped up with Fever Ray, their solo project, while Olof retreated from the spotlight to teach music production and produce for other artists.

Fever Ray has announced details of a UK and European tour to take place in early 2024 – see full details below.Kicking off in February, the upcoming run of dates includes headline shows in Bristol and Manchester, before a headline show at the Hammersmith Apollo in London on March 2.Alongside the news, Fever Ray has also shared a brand new Avalon Emerson remix of ‘Carbon Dioxide’, one of the tracks originally released on their third studio album ‘Radical Romantics’ earlier this year.Fever Ray, aka Karin Dreijer, said about the new remix, “I’m very happy for this one! It has fruitiness, a bit of extra everything, exactly what the song wanted. We started sending stuff back and forth early on and some of my first vocal recordings ended up in there as well.

Radical Romantics, the third studio album from Fever Ray, is an intoxicating and cathartic reframing of electro-pop conventions in ways that only Karin Dreijer, one-half of The Knife, could pull off. The upcoming slate of remixes bring in a number of exciting names: Avalon Emerson, LSDXOXO, VTSS, Logic1000, and Nifra, the Slovakian DJ and producer whose “What They Call Us” remix is out today.

If you needed another reason not to get on Karin Dreijer’s bad side, look no further than “Even It Out.” The deliciously venomous cut from Radical Romantics, their brand new third studio album as Fever Ray, comes with a music video that ups the ante considerably. “This is for Zacharias / Who bullied my kid in high school,” Dreijer sings, their voice pulsing with an anger that’s crossed over into deranged ecstasy. “There’s no room for you / And we know where you live.” The song’s disturbing nature is belied by its ultra-catchiness, its anthemic and arena-ready instrumental, and the woo-hoos Dreijer injects into the track at key points (often after an especially maniacal lyric).
