Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has published the latest quarterly figures for Personal Independence Payment (PIP) and they show the success rate for new claims is rising.
The DWP statistics show that 51 per cent of new claimants who were assessed received an award in October 2020, compared to 47 per cent for the same period last year.
However, the proportion of Disability Living Allowance (DLA) to PIP reassessments receiving an award, where the claimant had an assessment, has fallen from 75 per cent to 70 per cent.
